Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using SocialCast, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Description of Service
SocialCast is an iOS application that converts publicly available comments, threads, and reviews from YouTube, Reddit, and Apple Podcasts into audio using text-to-speech technology. The app also provides AI-generated summaries using Anthropic Claude.
User Accounts
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
- You may not create accounts for others without their permission.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Subscriptions and Payments
SocialCast offers three tiers:
- Free: Limited daily searches and AI summaries.
- Pro ($7.99/month): Unlimited searches, Enhanced voices, unlimited AI summaries.
- Creator ($19.99/month): All Pro features plus My Content for YouTube channel access.
All subscriptions are processed through Apple In-App Purchases. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the billing period. Manage subscriptions through Apple ID settings. We do not offer refunds outside Apple's standard policy.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to reverse engineer or decompile the app.
- Use automated means to scrape data from the app.
- Interfere with or disrupt the app's servers or networks.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the app.
- Use the app to harass, abuse, or harm others.
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
Third-Party Content
SocialCast accesses publicly available content from YouTube, Reddit, and Apple Podcasts through their APIs. This content is owned by its original creators. Your use of third-party content is subject to each platform's own terms:
- YouTube: subject to Google's Terms of Service.
- Reddit: subject to Reddit's User Agreement.
- Podcasts: subject to Apple's Media Services Terms.
AI-Generated Content
SocialCast uses Anthropic Claude to generate summaries. These are automatically generated and may not be perfectly accurate. Do not rely on AI summaries for critical decisions.
Intellectual Property
The SocialCast app, design, features, and branding are owned by SocialCast. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.
Privacy
Your use of SocialCast is governed by our Privacy Policy, incorporated into these Terms by reference.
Disclaimer of Warranties
SocialCast is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SocialCast shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of SocialCast after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access for violations of these Terms. You may delete your account anytime through app Settings.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States.
